Zirconium’s corrosion resistance comes from tightly adhered oxides that form almost instantly. Therefore, zirconium plates show strong corrosion resistance in corrosive environments such as acids and alkalis, and can maintain good thermal insulation under high temperature conditions. Zirconium plates are often used in chemical equipment manufacturing, structural components of nuclear reactors, high-temperature equipment components, etc.
