Application
The melting point of niobium is as high as 2477°C, which enables niobium to maintain good mechanical properties and chemical stability in high temperature environments. Niobium can form a dense oxide film at high temperatures, which enhances its high temperature oxidation resistance and is suitable for use in extreme high temperature environments. At the same time, niobium is one of the few metals that can exhibit superconductivity at low temperatures (such as close to absolute zero).
Pure niobium tubes contain more than 99.9% niobium and have good corrosion resistance. They are used in chemical equipment (such as heat exchangers, reactors) and parts in the nuclear industry that require high temperature resistance and strong corrosion resistance. Niobium capillaries have extremely small inner diameters and thin walls, and are characterized by high precision and high strength. They are widely used in precision parts and high-precision pipelines or transmission elements in catheters and medical devices.
Due to the addition of titanium, niobium-titanium alloy tubes improve the strength and heat resistance of niobium, while maintaining good ductility and weldability, and have excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. Niobium-titanium alloy tubes are often used as high-temperature alloy materials for the manufacture of engine components and other structural parts in high-temperature applications. They are also used as corrosion-resistant pipes in chemical equipment and the nuclear industry.
Niobium-tantalum alloy tubes have stronger corrosion resistance in high temperature and acidic environments, maintain good toughness and plasticity, are suitable for the manufacture of complex shapes, and are often used in equipment in extremely corrosive environments in the chemical industry, such as acidic medium treatment systems and heat exchangers.
Niobium-tungsten alloy tubes have extremely high strength and wear resistance, can maintain good mechanical properties at extreme temperatures, and have excellent creep resistance. Widely used in the aerospace and defense industries, manufacturing rocket engine nozzles, aerospace engine parts, etc.
