Niobium bar production in China uses advanced forging and drawing processes. Through multiple passes of forging and hot and cold drawing, the niobium rod has uniform material, refined grains and excellent mechanical properties. Application

Niobium has a melting point of up to 2477°C, which enables niobium to maintain good mechanical properties and chemical stability in high temperature environments. Niobium can form a dense oxide film at high temperatures, which enhances its high temperature oxidation resistance and is suitable for use in extreme high temperature environments. At the same time, niobium is one of the few metals that can exhibit superconductivity at low temperatures (such as close to absolute zero).

Pure niobium bar (CP Grade Nb) contains more than 99.9% niobium, has good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, and is used in chemical equipment, electronic components, and nuclear reactor materials. Niobium titanium alloy bar (NbTi) is mainly composed of niobium and a small amount of titanium. The titanium content is usually between 45%-55%. It has excellent superconducting properties, especially at low temperatures. It is used to manufacture superconducting magnets, cables, accelerator components and other equipment that require superconducting properties.

Niobium zirconium alloy bar (NbZr) is composed of niobium and a small amount of zirconium. The zirconium content is usually between 1%-3%. It has good mechanical strength and creep resistance at high temperatures, while maintaining the excellent corrosion resistance of niobium. The addition of zirconium enhances the alloy’s oxidation resistance and makes it more stable in high temperature environments. Niobium-zirconium alloy rods are mainly used in aerospace, high-temperature furnace linings, high-temperature resistant parts in chemical equipment, and nuclear reactor materials.

Niobium-tantalum alloy bar (NbTa) are mainly composed of niobium and tantalum, and the tantalum content can range from 10% to 90%. Niobium-tantalum alloy combines the advantages of niobium and tantalum, with extremely high corrosion resistance, good conductivity and mechanical strength. The addition of tantalum gives the alloy better stability in high temperature and corrosive environments. It is commonly used in chemical equipment, high-temperature parts, electronic component manufacturing, and high-temperature structural materials in aerospace.

  1. Chemical equipment: Niobium bar are widely used to manufacture corrosion-resistant chemical equipment, such as heat exchangers, reactors, distillation towers and pump lining materials.
  2.  Electronics industry: Niobium bar are used to manufacture high-precision capacitors, electrode materials and key components in semiconductor devices, such as interconnects and diffusion barriers. Electronic grade niobium rods are particularly suitable for electronic components that require high purity and high conductivity.
  3. Aerospace: The high melting point, high strength and corrosion resistance of tantalum rods make them widely used in the aerospace field, such as rocket engine components, high temperature furnace components and other high temperature resistant structural materials.
  4. Superconducting applications: Niobium-titanium alloy bar are widely used in the manufacture of superconducting magnets, cables and accelerator components, especially in nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment and particle accelerators.
  5. Aerospace: Niobium-based alloy bar are widely used to manufacture high-temperature components of aircraft engines, rocket nozzles and other structural parts that need to operate in extreme high temperature environments.
